An adaptation of the recipe used by 2016 World AeroPress Champion Filip Kucharczyk of Poland, now featuring the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap!
Ingredients
-
35g coffee, coarse/very coarse grind (Comandante at 40-45 clicks)
-
250-300g water at 85°C / 185°F, divided
Directions
Preheat water to 85°C.
Insert paper filter to AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap and attach to AeroPress chamber.
Place the cup or coffee server on a scale.
Place the AeroPress with Flow Control Filter Cap attached on top of the cup/server.
Add coffee to AeroPress chamber.
Start the timer and pour 150 grams of water (good quality) into the AeroPress chamber - should take around 15 seconds.
Stir vigorously for 20 seconds.
When the timer shows 1 minute stir the coffee a couple of times, insert the AeroPress plunger and gently press - timer should show around 1:30 when you are done.
Remove the AeroPress from the mug.
Add 100-150 grams of water to the coffee (adjust to taste or use a refractometer to get to around 1.35 TDS).
Clean your equipment and enjoy the coffee.
