Place one XL-size AeroPress paper micro-filter into the AeroPress XL Variable Flow Control Cap. Ensure that the Flow Control Cap tab is in the Closed position.
Place ice into the carafe.
Twist the Flow Control Cap onto the AeroPress chamber lightly and place it onto the carafe.
Pour the ground coffee into the AeroPress chamber. Start your stopwatch and pour in the cold water quickly, stirring vigorously for 1 minute.
Let steep for 2-4 minutes (less time for a milder brew, more time for a more robust brew).
Move the Flow Control Cap tab to the Open position.
Insert the AeroPress plunger and press.
Top up carafe with water.
Serve and enjoy!
