This may be a SPOOKY DRINK, but it is delicious and refreshing!! Feel free to use any whipped cream or any cold foam of your choice.
Also make sure you prepare the blueberry ice cubes (eyeballs) the night before. You will need an ice tray that makes round ice. Fill the bottom tray with water. Add one blueberry in each ice slot. Place the top part of the tray back on. Fill with more water. Let it freeze.
Ingredients
-
● 18g of Coffee ground fairly fine (but not as fine as for actual espresso)
● 120 grams water 210°F (99°C)
● 1-2 tablespoons of Matcha
● 1⁄4 Cup of hot water
● 1⁄4 Cup of Milk
● 6-9 Blueberry filled ice cubes (preferably round, to look like eyeballs)
● Optional (canned whipped cream/coldfoam)
Directions
1. Start with the AeroPress in the upright position. Optional: you can also use the inverted AeroPress method to make an espresso like coffee.
2. Place one filter paper in the AeroPress. Rinse with warm water.
3. Grind coffee in a fairly fine setting. Feel free to experiment with a grind size of your liking.
4. Add the ground coffee to the AeroPress chamber.
5. Add 120g of boiling water to the AeroPress (I used water at 210°F).
6. Stir back & forth aggressively. Set aside to brew for 2min.
7. While coffee is brewing, sift the matcha powder into a bowl and add the hot water. Whisk well to combine.
8. Slowly push down on the AeroPress to release the freshly brewed coffee into the cup.
9. Add ice (blueberry eyeballs) to a glass or carafe and layer the drink with the matcha, milk and then coffee.
10. Optional: Top it off by layering canned whipped cream or cold foam.
