Can I brew tea in AeroPress coffee makers?

If you want to use a long steep time for coffee or tea, we recommend setting your AeroPress coffee maker up as usual, adding tea and water to the chamber, and immediately inserting the seal on the end of the plunger a half inch or so into the top of the chamber to stop drip-through while waiting for your longer steep time. The seal stops drip-through just like putting your finger on the top of a straw stops dripping out of the bottom of a straw.

An even better solution, though, is the new AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap. It allows you to eliminate drip-through and extend your brew time for as long as you want!
