In the year 2000, 62 Honduran coffee farmers joined together with a common goal to transform their farms from conventional to organic production and formed COMSA (Cafe Organico Marcala, S.A). In 2001, fostered by a foundation called Funder, COMSA earned their organic certification from Bio Latina which has enabled them to market their coffee to more international buyers and realize better selling prices for their coffee. In February 2006, COMSA then applied for and was granted Fair Trade certification status. COMSA uses the Fair Trade price premium to fund many social projects including paying teachers’ salaries and purchasing school supplies. Roasted dark, this coffee is sweet and syrupy with notes of rich chocolate and creamy hazelnut. A clean and balanced cup.

Fulfilled by Red Rooster Coffee An order placed to Red Rooster gets roasted and shipped to-order, typically on the following business day. Orders shipped via USPS will leave the Red Rooster premises first thing the following morning.

For example, if you place your order at 9am EST on Friday, your order will roast on Monday and ship on Tuesday morning. If you place your order Monday morning at 9am, it will roast on Tuesday and ship on Wednesday.

Weekends, sales and holidays will often delay shipments by a day or more.

This item only ships within the United States.

Cancellations

Because Red Rooster does roast-to-ship, typically within 24 hours of receiving your order, Red Rooster may not be able to cancel your order. Contact as soon as you realize that your undesired order has gone through and we will attempt to rectify the situation. However, if your order has left the building, we cannot offer a refund on your order.
