I have used aeropress for years and this new set upholds the same excellence: ease of use, smooth rich taste and easy cleanup. A plus is the new colors avail - mine a cheery pink.

Clear and Flow Cap

I have the XL AP and want to make smaller cups plus milk drinks, so the Clear AP and the flow control cap are perfect. I love the clear view and the cap. The work flow is fast and easy! Now for goodness sake please make a flow control cap for the XL AP:)

I heard you can make all kinds of coffee with AeroPress. What’s the easiest way to start?

You can make thousands of recipes with an AeroPress Clear, but here’s an easy place to start! Put in 1 heaping scoop of medium-fine grind coffee, fill the chamber to the (4) with boiling water (or 185 degrees if you have a kettle), stir for 10 seconds, then press and enjoy. You should use a Standard size filter with the AeroPress Clear.

What is the difference between the AeroPress Clear and the AeroPress Original?

The AeroPress Clear uses the same breakthrough technology as the AeroPress Original. Create American, espresso style, latte or cold brew coffee tailored to your taste in 1-2 minutes. What makes the AeroPress Clear different? It is made from Tritan™, which has the clear appearance of glass but not its fragility. The AeroPress Original is tinted grey and is made from polypropylene, which is cloudier in appearance.

What are the maximum and minimum mug diameters the AeroPress Clear fits?

The biggest mug you can press into with the AeroPress Clear has a top inner diameter of 3 3/4 inches (95mm). The smallest mug you can press into with the AeroPress Clear has a top inner diameter of 2 5/8 inches (67mm).

Safety

You should use a sturdy mug or carafe and should never press into a thin walled glass mug or carafe.

Inverted method:

The “inverted method” can cause the coffee maker to be less stable and prone to mishaps that expose the user to potential burns from hot liquid. Be advised that we strongly discourage using the inverted method because it is less stable and therefore prone to tipping over and exposing the user to hot liquid.
