My name is Alex Gren, also known as @alexhomebarista on social media, from Salt Lake City, UT. I’ve been a part of the coffee industry since 2022 and have a love for all things coffee. I’m a firm believer that you can enjoy coffee however you prefer, whether it’s black coffee, sweet drinks, experimental recipes, or any brew method. I aim to show you can have coffee a million different ways, and there is no wrong way to enjoy coffee.
In my personal life, I have a beautiful family with my spouse and son, we enjoy the outdoors, camping, fishing and more. Coffee is a huge passion of mine, and the coffee community is unlike any other community.
The AeroPress was the very first brewer I purchased that was beyond just a typical “coffee pot”. So, AeroPress holds a special place in my heart. When I learned they were coming out with a grinder, I was ecstatic. This grinder is compact, yet has no strain on its performance. It fits perfectly in my travel coffee pack and I love that it fits inside the AeroPess chamber to not take up too much space. The burrs are essentially perfect, making clean, uniform grounds, and doesn’t seize up no matter how fine I need to grind. Definitely one of the best hand grinders I’ve used.
