3 Steps, 1 Uniquely Delicious Coffee
Step 1:
Pour-Over
- As hot water is poured over the grounds, the coffee is wetted and aerated.
- This aeration (further accelerated by stirring) speeds up the process of extraction and helps to remove sour carbon dioxide from the brew.
- This process unlocks a smooth flavor profile like a Pour-Over.
Step 2:
Fast Immersion
- The coffee is allowed to steep, and most of the extraction takes place.
- Depending on the grind size and time that the coffee is allowed to steep different flavor notes can be extracted.
- Immersion gives the AeroPress brew a Full-bodied flavor profile like a French Press.
Step 3:
Air Pressure & Micro-Filtration
- As the plunger is pressed, air pressure increases the speed of the brewing process, which reduces the acidity and bitterness found in longer-brew time methods.
- As the brew passes through a paper micro filter, coffee grinds, grit, and bitter oils are filtered out to achieve a smooth mouth-feel and signature AeroPress flavor.
- Air Pressure helps AeroPress achieve a Richness like an espresso.
There is only one AeroPress
- Full-bodied like a French Press.
- Smooth like a Pour-Over.
- Rich like an Espresso.
